(More customer reviews)Great book, chronalogically written. The author addresses the reasoning behind the changes in design and apperance through out production and is very thourough in his research. As a owner/restorer of a flathead Harley I am impressed with the spectacular color photos and the detail he has brought out about the design differences. This is not a technical book but a book that brings the reader in touch with the subject and helps them understand the wonders of these great machines. It would make a great coffee table book as the subject is of great interest to the general populatuion as antiques, art and history.
