PAPER TRAIL by Arlene Brathwaite is the third installment to the unforgettable characters, Brian Moore and Devon Carter. First there was YOUNGIN' then OL'TIMER. We followed Brian and Devon on the streets, doing dirt and then the demise of Brian with his stint in prison. Unfortunately, it looked like Brian might never be released from the belly of the beast, known as prison. PAPER TRAIL takes the readers on the journey of what became of Devon Carter, the man on the run. Devon Carter is on the run trying to maintain his freedom. He leaves the states and enters Jamaica where he hooks up with his cousin and two deadly, beautiful women. Here he establishes a come up by off loading some of the bricks he has in his possession. Devon hooks up with one of his buyers for a job proposition that lands him in Amsterdam and eventually has him traveling all over the world. Finally, he begins stacking some major paper, the legit way. With more money comes more problems. Someone wants Devon dead and will try to get at him through his crew. In the United States, Jennifer is still gunning to see Devon dead as well. Through it all, Devon is trying hard to stay incognito, because if the Feds find out where he is, he will lose all that he has worked hard to maintain. PAPER TRAIL by Arlene Brathwaite was the one of the best street-lit novels I have read this year. Chock full of action, OL' TIMER & YOUNGIN' are a must read before reading PAPER TRAIL. Mrs. Brathwaite is an excellent author and really knows how to keep the reader engrossed. Also, I have to commend whoever did the editing job on this book because they did a phenomenal job. I would definitely recommend this book and Mrs. Brathwaite's previous novels.
