The first copy I owned I bought with my dad at the Henry Ford Museum/Greenfield Village back in about 1979, and consequently it's a sentimental favourite. There is much good, basic information contained about model T Fords, but you should be warned that this book was originally written in the early 1960's and hasn't been updated once since then - the history of the model T hasn't changed, of course, but the restoration hobby certainly has. Since this book really puts itself forward as a restoration guide, that's the only area where I feel it falls a little short. There have just been so many breakthroughs in available tools, techniques and technology for the home restorer that weren't even dreamed of when this book was written that many of the methods written about are long gone - but still others remain useful. You won't be disappointed for the price - but have some newer, general restoration books on hand before tackling your Model T restoration with just this one alone.
