This book is well written and edited especially for a first book by the author. It is easy to read. The author is one of those popularly designated one of "The Greatest Generation." He tells his journey from birth in Nevada, through service in two wars and his rise up the telephone corporate ladder. His strong faith helped him overcome more than the average number of heartbreaks. His parents separated early. His father and younger brother died tragically. His first marriage during wartime was brief. His second wife died of cancer. Their oldest son was crippled in a motorcycle accident. He married again and their son was killed in an auto accident - enough tragedy to sink many people but he perservered buoyed by his faith.
