(More customer reviews)The book gives what it promised in its title, and includes essential specs, torque figures, etc. It is very specific to 4 engine builds: Chev 348 and 409, and 2 flatheads (Lincoln and Ford 60). I found his discussion of alternative parts (complete with number references and prices) very useful. The text does a fair job of step-by-step descriptions of each build, but it still needs experience that can read between the lines. I was disappointed by the absence of a gallery of photos of the fruit of his labours... the finished engines. This would have made a useful book truly excellent.
