(More customer reviews)I ordered this one from Amazon because I felt it was better than the other manual ( from Chilton ) that I previewed ( at the local auto parts store !). Haynes has better step by step instructions and illustrations.
There is is a better manual sold by Helm Inc 1-800-782-4356. I was told this is the one that was prepared by Ford and used at the dealerships. For my 1997 Ranger, the cost for Helm Shop Manual, Eletrical Manual, and Emmisions Manual is $306.95 plus tax & shipping. And if your want to save a few bucks, they have all the above on a CD for $175.00 plus tax & shipping.
I'll try to get by with my Haynes Manual !

(More customer reviews)I'm going to write the same review for all three of the ASE Test Prep guides I purchased.
To be honest, I'm not very impressed. I'm used to the study guides for the FAA flight tests which are generally excellent from everyone. These had typos in the questions. One question even said to refer to a diagram which they forgot to print! I also found several mistakes in their subject matter in the study section.
I think they are an aid and do help with the preparation but they publisher could have done a much better job especially for the price.

(More customer reviews)Lots of good info. Lots of diagrams and the book is broken down into chapters about specific areas of the bike and goes step by step for fixing most problems. Some good troubleshooting info. Not much info on some areas like the wiring for the lights and some things are hard to find but overall DEFINATELY worth the money. If you own one of these bikes and want to do your own maint. Buy this book.

Unfortunately it specifically covers the 4A class engine. The 3A class which is used in the Corolla XL (in Asia) would have been a bonus.

(More customer reviews)An awesome book, putting them all under one cover was a great idea. Now for the bad part.
Those of us who buy this book do so to assist us in repairing our vehicles. To be able to open the book and refer to the specific articles would have been a great idea. Instead the book is small, the pages are very tightly bound and print size is very small..
If I were printing this book I would make the following changes to its size and format to make it much more user friendly;
#1. Enlarge each page to a full 8.5 X 11 size which will in turn increase the size of the print.
#2. Put the entire book into a spiral wind format so we lay the book flat on the workbench or fender so we can see it.
#3. Laminate the cover and backpage to protect them from dirt and grease when we have the book opened up laying on whatever surface we have while working on our vehicles.
#4. Put page tabs for each chapter with the specific issue of that chapter on the tab for easy referrence.
I know these changes will no doubt have a significant impact on the price of the book but I for one and without a doubt many others like me will be more than happy to pay a premium price for the book when we know how easy it is to use it.
