Ultimate American V-8 Engine Data Book: 2nd Edition (Motorbooks Workshop) Review

Ultimate American V-8 Engine Data Book: 2nd Edition (Motorbooks Workshop)

Loved the book! Read up on all the old V-8's I've owned or driven. Learned some of the differences between Clevelands and Windsors and big block and small block. However, the V-8 I was perhaps most interested was curiously omitted from this book. I have the Mopar 4.7 liter V-8 in my Grand Cherokee, and that same engine is in my Dodge work truck. This book only covers the older 318 and 360 or the two newer hemis. Oh, well. Still loved the book.

Build Your Own Electric Motorcycle (Tab Green Guru Guides) Review

Build Your Own Electric Motorcycle (Tab Green Guru Guides)

This book should have been titled "Electric Components and their History". Over 300 pages and most is about the components and their inner workings. Like what is inside a battery. Most of the batteries and motors are not even what you would use for a Motorcycle. The last chapter titled "The Build" is just a few more pictures from the first chapter. If you want to know about electric components this is the book for you. If you want to build an Electric Motorcycle forget it this is anything but that book. Very disappointing I expected to build a motorcycle not study history, most of which was outdated. Even reporting on the EV1 being distroyed, how long ago was that? This is a reprint not an update.

At first I was disappointed but it IS a good book.It is NOT a PAINLESS WIRING COMPANY ad book!
It covers a lot, lots of line drawings though it BADLY needs more pictures.I read the reveiws on the other books and took a risk on this one, worthwhile but it covers so much that because there is only so much room, the articles could sometimes be bigger.Still this is a good book, whether its enough on its own.....it does have clear plans on wiring a machine from scratch and I understood it easy.
